White goods scheme
Cash Box are offering you the opportunity to buy high quality, energy efficient white goods with an instant loan of up to £300. Do you need a new cooker, fridge freezer, fridge, dryer or washing machine? ”Yes” well look no further.
Your goods are bought from the Co-op with a loan from Cash Box; then you repay the loan by Standing Order from your bank account. Once you have paid off one item you can apply to buy another.
To qualify for this scheme you need to become a member of Cash Box Credit Union and save at the same time as you repay your loan. At the point of application we need to see proof of income as well as your last two bank statements. You will need to make four payments prior to your application being processed.
Have a look on the Cooperative electrical website to see the options available to you and with interest on your loan at 12.7% APR Cash Box is much cheaper than Brighthouse, Perfect Homes and Currys.

Can you take my old applicance away?
The Co-operative are able to remove your old appliance when they deliver your new goods, but they will charge you extra for this service.
Will I need to start a savings account as well as taking a loan?
Yes.
A condition of the white goods scheme is that you become a member of Cash Box and as such open a savings account with us. The minimum you can save is £1 per week or £5 per month which could go towards your first fuel bill with your new appliance or you could reward yourself!
